Hello, it has been several years since I last built a PC and the technology has changed so much that I am lost. Reading through this board has helped me get somewhat up to speed and I have specced out a build at Newegg. I was hoping for some feedback on the below build to help me identify possible problems or where improvements can be made.

Id go with the 7900Gs instead of the Radeon x1950xt and a better brand of Psu such as Ocz or Antec but everything else looks good.

Sweet this brings the system cost to $902.

I will plan to make the following changes to the PSU and video card.

Why the 7900GS look even the X1950PRO (slower than the XT) is much quicker than the GS ... if you were to get the 7900GS it'd be the downfall of your system.

Why not compromise on the pro instead of XT then its well known for best bang for your buck.
