This just started to happen recently. Never had a problem before. While playing World of Warcraft after a few hours or so, my laptop will freeze. If i let it sit there, the screen gets fainter and fainter. Until it almost goes to a white/gray color... Im guessing that my temperature is way too high. The bottom of my laptop is extremely hot. Any ideas on what might be causing this problem and any solutions are much appriciated. Thank you for your time.

sounds like ur cpu is overheating, open her up carefully, remove the old thermal paste with a credit card or something from both the CPU and the huge heatsink, take rubbing alcohol and clean the surface clean on both items, clean out ur fans and everything else from dust, close her up, enjoy!

i had to do the same thing couple weeks ago on my laptop as well because my icons started to flicker and performance dropped.

NOTE: When seperating the heat sink and CPU, be careful not to pull the cpu pins out.

Personally I would re-apply new Thermal grease.
But before you do I strongly suggest you learn how to apply it properly.
To learn how read this.
