What kind of Microsoft Xp should i get?

I was looking at all the different kinds and i didnt know which would be best for my budget computer that i am going to be building for gaming.

This is the last thing i gotta figure out before I buy all the parts, I think...

You should get an intel core 2 duo rather then your current cpu as it has a better performance/cost ratio. And the type of xp depends on what you want from the computer as MCE is obviously for home cinema, home edition is the basic tools which should be fine for the average user, and pro is for people who like to get slightly more technical with how there computer runs. I'd reccomend finding a Os that comes with a voucher for upgrading to vista although you may have to improve on your pc to take full advantage of vista

An e6300 or e6400 will do for the proc. For the mobo, look at these:

Windows XP Professional and Home and almost identical, except for Professional is a little tiny bit faster than Home Edition, and costs way more.

You can pick up Home Edition for less than $100. Add $50 for PRO.
