I'm looking to build a pretty decent gaming PC from scratch and I've been reading around here and at newegg.com and have found some parts I think I'm going to buy.

Before I make the purchases I want to make sure that they will all work well with each other, I don't want to buy them all then have to take half of the stuff back for something else

Questions:

* Are there any changes I can make that would be ABOUT the same quality wise but would save me a few bucks?

*I haven't picked out a case yet but can anyone reccomend a case (preferably black, and see-through) that would fit my parts?

*Any reccomenedations on a CHEAP LCD monitor?

BTW I will be playing mostly FPS games, WoW, and I'm dying to try Oblivion..

ditch the X-Fi.... Unless your a serious audio nut, you can get an Audigy2 ZS or Audigy 4 (cards only) and save some pennies...

the Raptor... you can get 2 16MB cache hard drives and RAID them. that will not really save much money, but performance wise it's almost the same.. (or get one 320GB 16MB SATA drive... good drive)

unless your going to OC this thing, you don't really have to go away from stock cooling yet. But I don't see what kind of CPU your going to use... I'm assuming some type of Conroe, by the mobo you have (nice BTW) and the stock coolers on those are pretty good.

everything looks good to me except you didn't list a processor.

The ozc gamexstream 600w is a little cheaper then the psu you picked, but still a very nice psu.

The asus p5b-deluxe/wifi is also a good mobo unless you were planing to sli with the p5w with hacked drivers.

The CM centurion 5 is a nice cheap mid tower w/ a window. A TT soprano is a good case but a little more expensive. A TT tsunami is sweet case but a lot more expensive.

The samsung 740bx is a good lcd for the price.

I'm not really looking to hardcore game or OC, but I want a GOOD computer that can run MOST games out there pretty well.

Any more tips on a decent processor for my money?
