Graphics/Sound Card

I have been thinking for a while of upgrading my pc,

I have 1.5 Gig RAM and am looking to add a reasonably good graphics card + sound card.

I am wondering does the sound card do much in terms of game highest details or should I just go for the higher graphics card until I get my money in march.

I am looking at

Asus 7600GS SILENT 512MB DDR2 PCI-E and Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 PCI Soundcard


or


Asus Nvidia 7600GT 256MB DDR3 TV out DVI PCI-E

the 7600gt is a good card but the 7900gt is mch better

Save you money - Don't buy the sound card, most games don't really need a dedicated sound card to perform well. Wait until you've got more money and spend it on a really good graphics card for vista.
Edit- Also , seeing as you're in the UK (good on you!), i find that you can generally get better prices at www.cclonline.com .

I would get the 5.1 version of that sound card as it is is cheaper and get a 7900GS if you had the money, if not then the 7600GT is good for moderate gamers.
