SATA 300 in SATA 150 Mobo

will it work and just go at a slower speed?

or will it jst go boooom?

(I am putting a SATA 300 in a SATA 150 motherboard, I asked for it for xmas but forgot to look at motherboard spec, doh. And the reason I haven't tried yet is because the cables I ordered don't come till tomorrow, and I am too impatient )

In response, after googling on about the 5th page I found that I am correct and it is just the same as USB 1.1/2. will run, jst at slower speed.

yeah, It will work, it is working in my sony, its just, how much slower will it run?
