Core 2 E6400 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+

Im going to upgrade my system before the release of windows vista. Im wondering which processer would be best. I play alot of games and am upgrading from a Pentium D 830 3.2ghz 800mhz fsb dual core. Which do you recommend? and why?

woah woah woah. Unless your a fanboy dont get an AMD right now. They are getting their *** handed to them. Go with the E6400 as it can be overclocked pasted the quad core speeds.
