So I recived my Leadtek 7900GS a few days ago stock at 450/1320. I overclocked without voltmodding at first and got to 537/1550 which i wasn't too happy about for the core. Now I'm pumping 1.55V through my card and have the resistor shaded for my ram. My core maxes out at around 650 and the ram is 1764. I find this a little depressing since I've seen these cards hit upwards of 700Mhz on the core. I've got the Zalman vf-700 installed with OCZ BGA ramsinks. Full load temps hit 78*C with 1.55V. I'm thinking of either getting a tidewater or getting a new pump and putting an extra loop in and getting a water block for my GPU. Any other idea's on getting my core higher?

With that being said one thing I'm not too sure of is I tried to unlock the last four pipelines but I'm not sure if i did it successfully.

See I can't hit apply so is it good?

Also how's this for a 3D 05 mark?

I can honestly say I am tired of being in Mexico away from my 7900gs, I just got it to and havent been able to do any ocing with it,

cant wait for mine to come!

ill be back here in a few days... ive got my xfx 7900gs extreme (factory OC to 525/1550), but my HD and cpu wont get here until friday... but damnit when they do its gonna be time to pump it!

He didnt unlock the 7900 GS, its impossible. With my EVGA 7900 GS, VF-900 with as5, 1.55v mod for the core and 2.24v pencil mod for the memory I only seem to hit 700/? (I dont know about memory cause some days I can do 1700 and then another day I can only do like 1500, who knows...) Going past the 1.55v this weekend and trying to get ram stable at 1700.

I easily did 10k with:

amd 4000+ 3ghz
2gb ddr416 2.5-3-3-6
7900 GS 700/1650

I got new ram that can do DDR500 at respectable timings. I also know my x2 3800+ can do 2.7ghz stable. I expect to push my video card alot farther and some how hit 800/1800. If this all comes together, I think I can pass 11k no problem.

I used ATI tool, powerstrip, coolbits, and riva tuner. I brought the voltage up to 1.65V and i got up to around 675. Update on the 3DMark

Getting there, I have to push my CPU a bit further, I'm going to try and break 12000. Wish me luck lol. Also I've seen a 7900GS unlock the last four pipelines. I can't find the link but I'll try...

According to all online reviews, when they produce these cards they make it impossible to unlock. The most people have been able to do is change chips on the board around so its the same as the 7900 GT and flash to the GT bios but it still has 7900 GS specs but says GT/GTO in Windows. Weird!

Maybe it's my power supply? I'm using a POS Thermaltake TR2-430W with 18 amps on the 12V rail:confused: .

Ok well whatever I'm happy, I scored 126fps in the CS:S stress test with everything maxed out, including AA and antrascopic filtering. I also can't get through 3dMark05 without it crashing and any higher frequencies. Ohwell.
