Hi,

My PC just crashed, i couln't reboot: it was hanging on the win logo screen.
I reinstalled on my other drive (D)and now, I wonder if i can restore from a specific "System Restore Point"
(C:\System Volume Information\_restore{80C4973B-BBF1-4E36-BBC0-236C2BF92D01}\RP961\snapshot\...)?
I know I can restore part of the the registry
(ie. _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM to c:\windows\system32\config\system)
but can i restore it all with some Utilities that can rename and/or move the files? I have no idea what the files in the \snapshot\Repository\FS\ folder are????
Anyone knows what i'm talking about?
Thanks for any help!!!
Ron

Interesting..what happens if you copy that restore point to the new partition? Does it detect it as a restore point in the system restore tool? Never tried it before.
